Studio Policies…
Code of Conduct: Altona Yoga strives to be a welcoming and safe community space, regardless of age, physical limitations, race, creed, gender, ethnicity, religion or sexual orientation. At Altona Yoga, we emphasise the benefits of movement, mindfulness, and connection with others as key contributors to holistic wellness. Our instructors are certified and insured and are upheld to a high standard of ethical and professional standards. We are always pursuing opportunities for continuing education in both teaching and practice.
In order to uphold our our core values, we kindly ask that the Altona Yoga community respect our studio policies:
We have the right to refuse service to anyone who does not treat our teachers, studio space, or fellow practitioners with kindness and respect. Abusive language or behaviour will not be tolerated.
Please respect the serenity of our space and the privacy of others by refraining from using your cellphone inside the studio. Please turn your cell phone off or on MUTE and leave it in your bag during class.
When visiting with others before or after class, please keep your voices to a minimum.
Disruptive behaviour is not welcome. Disruptive behaviour can be classified as speaking loudly during class, checking your phone/texts, taking unauthorised pictures, wearing strong perfumes or scents, or mistreating our teachers or fellow practitioners with rude or abusive language or gestures.
If you can’t attend your designated class on a given week, please inform us as soon as possible. While we do not offer refunds, if significant reasons beyond your control (eg. illness or death in the family, etc.) prevent you from regularly attending or completing your session, we can work with you to make alternative arrangements to support you in your practice.
Participants are responsible for informing their instructor about any changes to their health status that might hinder them from practicing safely (i.e. pregnancy, injury, surgery, etc.). If you have any hesitations about engaging in physical exercise, we encourage you to speak with your doctor and to complete the ePARmed-X+ form.
If there are any differences, disputes, or concerns regarding your experience at Altona Yoga, we encourage you to let us know. We will strive to handle your concerns with mutual respect and understanding. If the matter is severe in nature, our Advisory Council will be called upon for mediation and support.
If we are mandated to close by Government of Manitoba Public Health Orders in response to the Covid-19 Pandemic, classes will be moved online, no refunds will be issued.
If classes are canceled due to inclement weather or instructor illness, we will do our best to offer make-up classes if time and studio space allow. Make-up classes due to weather or instructor illness are not guaranteed.
